Romans 6
King James Version (KJV)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in SIN, that GRACE may abound?
2 GOD FORBID. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
The Perfect Holy Law… Not Voided By Grace
Many erroneously believe that Jesus did away with the law. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Listen to what Jesus Himself says…”Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5:17,18.

Grace: A Free Gift, Retained By Keeping The Law
According to the Bible, sin is the transgression of God’s law (1 John 3:4). We have all sinned and are worthy of death but because God is merciful, Jesus gave us grace (a free gift) by dying for our PAST sins. Once we accept God’s grace and get baptized, we are charged to not sin willfully or else we take the grace of God in vain. Remember, the wages of sin, is death!

The Goal is Life
Countless “christians” claim to be blessed, highly favored and filled with the Holy Ghost. Yet they do NOT do any of the things Jesus commanded us to do. Let’ see who God gives the Holy Ghost according to the scriptures….”And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” Acts 5:32

Popular Christianity teaches that since obedience to the Law does not earn us salvation, then we no longer need to obey the Law. But, is that really what the Bible says? Does that doctrine really line up with Scripture? Lets examine it together, and even test that theory against a real life example to see if it makes sense.
